More than three months since the last entry I wrote, and here I'm back on your browser, discussing my-self whether I should explain why I e-disappeared, looking at Emacs' non-stop blinking cursor: black, white, zero, one, false, true, and so on.

There's no single reason, nor it'd easy to go through the whole story, but during all this time behind the curtains I've kept hungry and foolish, noticing how important is to keep in mind all of us will end up disconnected (without 'e'), and sometimes before as expected. However, life keeps forward.

I've missed writing, honestly. So much, I rewrote Amelio two months ago from, literally, scratch. It keeps being minimalist (and unfinished), but now it lives on server side, plus some LINQ to XML magic, everything mixed on a single ASPX file (OK, and a few CSS and XML more). It doesn't still support on-line editing (entries must be modified locally, and manually), nor comments, nor a nice list of features, but I've uploaded it just in case someone's interested (patches are welcome).

This entry's my way for pushing my-self to be back. I'll upload soon previous 142 posts from older versions. Thanks for reading me.

It isn't about the TV series, but my-self. Studies, mainly, have kept me busy for the last..., the last..., the last period, let's say that way.

As I'm within migrations, I'll do some Federico's way-of-posting:
  • I'm a new fresh and happy Windows Vista user. It seems to work like a charm.
  • My father has written a fabulous (please, not because I'm talking about my father...) article, Los obispos instruyen, la ciudadanía piensa (¡menos mal!), on last shameful movement of Catholic group here at Spain.
  • I love Barack Obama. Go Obama, go!
  • I'd like to thank Julio, for his links to some pieces I wrote. Thanks dude.
  • Whether Microsoft finally gets Yahoo!, will Google survive?

That's all. Thanks.

Please, watch five pieces available.

Honestly, I'd like to know an U.S. citizen opinion.

It can't be true...

I'm just back from leaving my old video console systems (my babies) on Rosa's house.

Rosa is a [lovely] friend who I shared school room with since... Well, since I can remember. His brother, Mario (maybe rlyeh sounds more familiar), is a video games enthusiast and one of the best emulation-related-stuff (and everything in relation with C) developers I've ever met, honestly. Whether you believe me or not, go on and visit one of his Web sites and check it your-self (yes, he's working on twelve, 12, emulators simultaneously).

fGB32 logo (please, note top right corner)

Always I visit his site (or talk to his sister) a picture of us during childhood playing with some watches, which included small video games (if my cortex keeps fine, it was a car racing one, and a space invader-like another), waiting on school stairs, comes to my mind. Always.

As you can appreciate, I know he'll take care of my babies. Mario, and Rosa, huge thanks in advance.

2007 has disappeared faster than I expected, which I don't find currently whether it's fine, or not. Let's assume it is.

Having a brief look to my wishes list from exactly one year ago, I'd like to now which percent of achievement I got (marks are 0 points, 0.5 and 1, from missed to achieved respectively):
  • To keep on helping for a better world (yes, I'm absolutely sure we can change it). Difficult to measure, I'd say 0 or 0.5. Let's make an exception and go for 0.25.
  • To take things easier. I made my bits, but not fully. Let's say 0.5.
  • To almost finish my studies. Well, past year was my best one, but I still feel I can go better, so 0.5 for this one. Even more, 2008 is my last (for now) opportunity to make tests. :-)
  • To be able to develop a consistent framework related to cortical activity (more to come). Damn, I pushed this thing on bottom of my tasks stack. Following prediction took my summer time instead of this one, so 0 here.
  • To contribute coding/fixing some bits into Mono (I currently do, but in some other ways). Both Google and Mono team gave me an opportunity to work here, but I didn't finish my entire task list, so I'd go for 0.75.
  • To take practical lessons for playing the piano. Although I collected some teacher's phone numbers, it stayed there. 0.
  • To travel to London. I was about to buy some tickets to visit Ricardo, but we postponed it. 2008 will be the one I'll get this dream, apart from previous friend, Macarena and Javi will likely move also to London. OK, back to marks, 0 again.
  • To make people laugh (to achieve this, I'll need to learn new [good] jokes :-) ). 1, no doubt. ;-)
So, 0.25+0.5+0.5+0+0.75+0+0+1=3.0, which cast to an integer results on 3, from 8 I could have gotten... (Failing related calcs have been omitted, but you can have an idea.)

Once I'll get a strong picture of my proposals for 2008, I'll write them down.

Tan sólo era para informar que ya están las diapositivas publicadas de la charla Google Summer of Code. O cómo enamorarse en verano.
